Yes, eFPS is for single taxpayers only. If you are a corporate taxpayer, you must use eBIRForms to file and pay your taxes.

Wrong. EFPS can also be used by a corporate taxpayer.

I process 1701q in efps, I went straight until I got to the efps payment form, the amount written in form is 5,385.75, I processed it with efps epay bank, and I paid immediately. When I went back to efps and inquired for 1701q, I noticed that my tax due is 5,386.00 instead of 5,385.75. What will I do in that case?

    Rosben Orbeso Murillo, CPA

In this case, there is a slight discrepancy between the amount you paid (₱5,385.75) and the tax due as reflected in the EFPS (₱5,386.00). Here are the steps you can take to address this issue:

Verify the Source of the Discrepancy:

Double-check the 1701Q form you submitted to ensure that all figures and computations are accurate.
Confirm that the amount you paid (₱5,385.75) was exactly what was reflected on your payment form before submission.
    Contact the EFPS Support:

Reach out to the EFPS support team or your assigned Revenue District Office (RDO) to report the discrepancy.
Provide them with the details of your payment and the form you submitted. This includes the payment confirmation from the ePay bank and the form showing the due amount.
    File an Amendment if Necessary:

If you discover an error in the form, you may need to file an amended return (1701Q) to correct the discrepancy.
Follow the procedure for amending returns as prescribed by the BIR. This typically involves completing a new form and indicating that it is an amendment.
Make a Supplemental Payment if Required:

If the discrepancy is due to rounding or a small calculation error, you may need to make a supplemental payment for the remaining ₱0.25.
This can be done through EFPS by generating a new payment form for the remaining balance.
    Document Everything:

Keep records of all communications with the EFPS support team and any additional payments made.
Ensure you have copies of the original and amended forms, as well as payment confirmations.

If I filed 0605 thru efps but wrong return date, but not yet paid , can I refile? what to do?

    Rosben Orbeso Murillo, CPA

If you have filed BIR Form 0605 through eFPS with the wrong return date but have not yet made the payment, you can amend the return and refile it with the correct details. Here’s how you can do it:

Refile the Return: Since you haven’t made the payment yet, you can refile the form with the correct return date. Access your eFPS account, select BIR Form 0605, and enter the correct information.

Payment: After refiling with the correct details, you can proceed with the payment through the eFPS platform. Ensure that all details, including the return period and tax type, are accurate before confirming the payment to avoid any further issues.

Save Confirmation: Once you’ve made the payment, keep a copy of the payment confirmation and the amended return as proof of your corrected filing.

It’s important to address errors before payment because once payment is made, correcting errors might involve more complex procedures or potential penalties.

I already filed 1702Q (Q2) in eFPS and received the generated FRN, but upon inquiry in “Tax return Filed” there was an error message – “no records found”. Same issue also with my 1702Q Q1.
What causes this and how to resolve?
Is the FRN sufficient proof even though my BIR FORM has no Ref NO. on the upper right portion of the FORM since I can not “inquire and print” the FORM?

    Rosben Orbeso Murillo, CPA

The issue you’re facing, where the eFPS system says “no records found” even though you received a Filing Reference Number (FRN), could happen for a few reasons:

System Errors: Sometimes, the BIR’s system has glitches that cause the tax return not to show up, even though you’ve filed it correctly.
System Delays: The BIR system might take some time to update, so your filed return might not appear right away.
Filing Issue: Even though you got an FRN, there might have been a problem during filing that stopped the return from being fully processed.

    Rosben Orbeso Murillo, CPA

Here’s how you can resolve the issue:

Try Again Later: Wait a few hours or even a day, then check the “Tax Return Filed” inquiry again. Sometimes the system just needs time to update.
Reach Out to BIR: If the problem doesn’t go away, contact the BIR eFPS Helpdesk or your local RDO (Revenue District Office). Give them your FRN and other details so they can manually check your submission.
Keep Your FRN: The FRN is your proof that you filed the return. Even if the reference number isn’t showing on your BIR form, the FRN should still be enough to prove you submitted it. But it’s important to sort this out to avoid future problems.
Document Everything: Keep track of all your communications with the BIR about this issue. Save screenshots, emails, and any notes from phone calls. This will help if there are any disputes later on.
